INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 
CALFA BAS

Read these instructions carefully before using the product:

Calculate the total volume of water of the installation: tubes, reservoir, intermediate tanks (if applicable) and heat exchangers. Use the greater of these two quantities: 1 cartridge every 6 months for each cubic meter of water at least (0.1% weight /volume) or 40 g x cubic meter hour of re-circulating flow. In humidifier trays or evaporative humidifiers, use 2 cartridges per cubic meter of volume or 60 g x cubic meter hour of re-circulating flow.

If possible drain the old water and refill before using the product.

Ensure the plastic container housing the product is well sealed. Do not open the container or the bags containing the product.

Place the cartridge(s) of CALFA BAS close to the aspiration side of the pumps or in the area of greater water movement (above the aspiration filters if possible).

As well as the treatment, a continuous bleed must be placed for the water return to the nozzles, which should be calculated using the following formulae:

In installations blocked by slime (brown-coloured gelatinous algae), first clean.

This product does not need to be removed as toxic or hazardous waste. After 6 month’s useful life, it can be disposed of as normal rubbish.

The plastic box containing it has to be disposed of for re-cycling in the yellow bottle container.

 The minimum quantity that should be used in cooling towers and evaporative condensers is 1 packet, although the total volume of the circuit may be less than 1 m3
